He forgave me

Deep calls to deep in the roar of his waterfalls
All His forgiving waves cascade onto me.
Those, myself, walking in darkness, too often
Of our own making, have seen His great light.
And it’s wonderful. And it’s unexpected.
And it’s everything.
The cross and calvary – we never stray too far
From that love, which binds us to freedom.

When despair hits – just remember this

The tomb. Wailing women. Soldiers like dead men.

The stone rolled.

One response to “He forgave me”

  1. Thank you. This gutted me (in a good way). I found myself instantly weeping – a simple-yet-profound poem that spoke more than a thousand lengthy treatises. This was anointed.
